Madison & Brent
Madison & Brent are from my hometown of good ‘ole McDonough. They knew their guest list would largely be their church family who have played a significant role in their relationship thus far and would love to witness this special day, so the two found a spot not too far from town and met on a beautifully sunny day to get married.
Pure & sweet are two words that come to mind. We initially met at a local favorite for fried pickles and ice cream (eaten separately, of course) to talk about their plans, and I just loved how close and comfortable it was sharing in a day that would be so centered on home. Our engagements somewhat coincided, so hearing them talk about what was most important to them lined up with my heart in a unique way, making this day mean so much to be a part of.
One of my favorite parts of their ceremony was the fireman’s hat you’ll see a family member usher into the space. Madison lost her father years ago, a beloved local fireman, and they honored his memory by including his hat in the precessional, just before Madison & her mom walked down the aisle. Afterwards a large group of his firemen community joined Madison, Brent, and her dad’s hat for a photo. The guys also played a huge part in helping Brent propose by causing quite a scene in the McDonough Square, riding him in on the back of a firetruck to meet Madison.
It was so special to see the support of their people and how Madison & Brent honored each part of their community with their day. Congratulations, you two! I hope you’re enjoying life in your new home together!
